Ozzy Osbourne is convinced his daredevil son will kill himself.

The Black Sabbath rocker - whose son Jack, 23, stars in TV show 'Adrenalin Junkie', where he faces a mixture of endurance challenges and stunts - said he thinks he's gone "crazy".

The 60-year-old said: "He's got more f***ing guns than the Army.

"My job is to point out what can happen. Jack goes bungee-jumping, sky-diving. I mean, even the guys who invented sky-diving all f***ing died - while sky-diving!"

Ozzy also said he was concerned his son had replaced one addiction - alcohol and painkillers - with another.

He said: "He needed help and went into rehab. So he's stopped all that. And now he's sky-diving instead. What can I do?"

The veteran rocker said he was terrified he would get a call one day to tell him Jack had died.

He added: "He told me he wants to bungee-jump off a helicopter, over an active volcano."

Alice Cooper took his stage name from a message his mother received from a Ouija board.

The rocker originally performed under his real name, Vincent Furnier, until his mother's dalliance with the occult led him to adopt the name of the group he was singing in.

He explained: "My mother did a Ouija board session and asked, 'Who is Alice Cooper?' It spelt out 'Vincent.' "

Although the 'Poison' hitmaker got his stage name from his mother, he got his love of music from his pastor father.

The American singer explained: "My dad and I were the best of friends. He dug music a lot. He loved the British invasion in particular. And he listened to our music too. He knew Alice Cooper wasn't Satan."

However, the pair eventually drifted apart because of Alice's rock 'n' roll behaviour.

He explained: "He couldn't condone the lifestyle of sleeping with every woman in Los Angeles and being an alcoholic."

Muse feel like 19th century classical music composers.

The Devonshire trio claim they are incredibly different to their chart rivals because they are more interested in revolutionising music than being seen as "cool".

Frontman Matt Bellamy said: "London bands are more concerned with what is cool but it's never been the important thing for us.

"I think we have a lot in common with the classical composers of the 19th century, although I'm not claiming to have their intelligence.

"They wanted to create a musical explosion, to blow the crowd away. Opera can be exceptionally moving, but can also be pompous."

Despite claiming they want to change music, the band also wants to further their careers and be as successful as possible.

Bassist Chris Wolstenholme said: "We want to be the biggest band in the world. We're not ashamed to say that."

Drummer Dom Howard added: "We've always been an ambitious band. We always had big ideas beyond our capabilities."

JLS star Marvin Humes has a crush on Cheryl Cole.

The hunky R'n'B singer thinks the Girls Aloud beauty - who is a judge on UK TV talent show 'The X Factor', the programme on which JLS shot to fame - is gorgeous and is devastated she is married to soccer player Ashley Cole.

He said: "It's not a secret, I fancy Cheryl Cole because she is beautiful but married, sadly. She is perfect."

John Mayer bought a Ferrari because he was sad.

The 'All We Ever Do Is Say Goodbye' singer admits his investment in the luxury sports car was "ridiculous", and represented a "ticket out of the game".

He said: "Nobody stopped me the day I was real sad - because you don't buy a Ferrari when you're happy; you buy a Ferrari when you're sad.

"You buy a Ferrari when there's a piece missing inside of you. All of these things are absolute tickets out of the game: you have to enjoy your life without indulging so much that you lose it."

He told Britain's Guardian newspaper: "I bought a Ferrari and drove it to Las Vegas on the day I bought it. What's more ridiculous - putting 600 miles on a black-on-black 599 Ferrari the day you get it, or having somebody call your best friend and ask if you're still dating that girl?"

Michael Buble had to catch a fan who fainted in his arms.

The 'Haven't Met You Yet' hitmaker delighted the mystery woman by stopping to chat with her - only for her to pass out after being overcome by his presence, and the handsome singer admits it wasn't the first time it has happened to him.

He said: "I'd just finished a show and was outside having a cigarette and a drink. This girl about 22 or 23 started talking. I could tell she was nervous, we exchanged pleasantries and then she passed out and I caught her!

"A minute later she came round and just looked at me and said, 'Oh God, what have I done?' She was so embarrassed. That's actually happened twice now."

The singer always enjoyed being stopped and recognised by fans and doesn't understand why other stars complain about the attention fame attracts.

He said: "Sometimes people recognise me - I like it, it's nice. I wanted to be famous and this is what comes with it. I've always been passionate about music but of course I wanted to be famous. To me, being successful at singing equalled fame."

A fan of British boy band JLS hid in the star's luggage in an attempt to meet the group.

The girl hid herself in a holdall matching that of the group's luggage at a hotel they were staying at in Dublin, Ireland, in the hope of being smuggled to the airport with the four boys.

However, the 'Beat Again' singers' entourage noticed the bag containing the girl was "moving" and rescued her before she was packed into the back of the tour bus.

A source close to the group told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "It's getting to the point where the fanaticism is dangerous.

"This girl was so meticulous. She had brought along her own bag to match the luggage the guys normally use. But it was moving slightly and didn't have any tags so one of the security lads saw it.

"When the girl was pulled out she had been in there for at least half an hour and was close to fainting."

Unfortunately for the fan, the group - Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold, Jonathan "JB" Gill And Oritse Williams - had already left the hotel in separate cars, leaving the girl, who was wearing a T-shirt of the band, disappointed.

The source added: "She was looking for the boys but they had already left.

"She was distraught but managed to slip away, pretending she needed the toilet."

Last weekend, JLS had to cut short a performance in Birmingham, England, after 20,000 fans turned up to see them and a host of other acts switch on the city's Christmas lights and perform for free.

Around 60 people were injured as fans rushed to try and get into the show bustling past security.

Rihanna wants a well-endowed man.

The 'Umbrella' singer - who has been single since Chris Brown assaulted her in February - is ready to date again but isn't interested in suitors who don't measure up in the bedroom.

When asked what a guy needed to impress her, she quipped to German magazine Bravo: "He has to be good in bed and the size matters. You know what I mean? Lily Allen has made a U-turn in her stance on music piracy.

The 'Not Fair' singer - who launched a scathing attack on illegal file-sharing on her MySpace blog and attacked indie group Radiohead for giving their latest album away on a pay-what-you-want basis - claims she doesn't care if people copy her albums and sell them on for a profit.

Lily, 24, told UK radio station Key 103 Radio: "If someone comes up with a burnt copy of my CD and offers it to you for £4, I haven't a problem with that as long as the person buying it places some kind do of value on my music."

In Lily's original blog post she said downloading was starving up-and-coming artists of money they need to keep producing music, and attacked the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) - whose members include Travis singer Fran Healy, Blur drummer Dave Rowntree and Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien.

She wrote: "I'm going to be writing to British artists, saying just this: File sharing's not OK for British music. We need to find new ways to help consumers access and buy music legally, but saying file sharing's fine is not helping anyone - and definitely not helping British music."

The FAC recently called for the British government to abandon proposals to cut off the internet connections of people who illegally download music.

My Chemical Romance are inspired by The Stooges.

The 'Teenagers' rockers are currently in the studio working on the follow-up to 2006's 'Black Parade' LP and say they are trying to take their music in a completely different direction.

Frontman Gerard Way told Rolling Stone magazine: "We wanted ti harness everything that's great about this band into shorter songs. Almost protopunk, like the Stooges or the MC5.

"We want to be an American rock band instead of a British rock band."

One of Gerard's favourite songs in the new album is entitled 'Death Before Disco' and he is excited about hearing fans' response to it.

He said: "I can't wait for people to hear it. To me, it's the greatest song we've ever written - it's my favourite My Chemical Romance song."

Coldplay don't speak to their support bands.

The 'Viva La Vida' hitmakers have just completed a stadium tour, supported by British band White Lies and the 'Farewell To The Fairground' stars say they much preferred their experiences on the road with 'Sex on Fire' singers Kings of Leon.

Drummer Jack Laurence-Brown explained: "We all really liked Kings of Leon beforehand and the chance to tour with them was a big deal for us. It was right across the middle of America where we'd never been and, because of the way the tour worked out, we got lots of time to hang out with the band.

"They were really keen to show us lots of the cities that they'd been to before by taking us out.

"Coldplay are obviously the biggest band in the world. They had a gig two nights in a row at Wembley stadium - they don't have time to come and talk to the support band for an hour. It was no big deal."

The group have learned from their experiences as a support act and say they always take the time to hang out with their opening bands.

Jack added to the Yorkshire Evening Post newspaper: "We're at the venue all day. "We spend as much time as we can with the support bands because it's a fun thing to do."

50 Cent claims people want him to be like Britney Spears.

The 'Candy Shop' star says he believes fans want to see his downfall as it is a natural response to witnessing someone achieve success, citing the interest surrounding the 'Womanizer' singer's 2007 breakdown as a perfect example.

He said: "I feel like the general public turns you into a favourite by consuming your material. We all start from an underdog space. And after they consume it, they begin to resent you for not bearing the same pressures. Because you're in this financial space where they know you're not under the same circumstances they are. ... This is why they like nothing more than to see Britney Spears when she's shaving her head and swinging at the cameras."

Although Britney went on to recover from her problems and is currently on a world tour, 50 thinks the 'Gimme More' hitmaker should be receiving more help.

He added to MTV News: "We should be covering her more now. They covered it during the confusion, but the intensity, that's less than when she made the comeback."

Liam Gallagher says his songs with his new band are better than Oasis.

The 37-year-old singer has been working with every member of Oasis, except brother Noel who quit the group in August, on fresh material and plans to have an album out by July.

He told MTV Italy: "We've been demoing some songs that we've had about, that we've had for a while. Just doing that, on the quiet, not making a big fuss about it.

"After Christmas we might go in the studio and record them and hopefully have an album out in July.

"We'll do it in a different kind of way now. I'll try and reconnect with a new band, new songs, and I'm feeling confident about the songs.

"I'm feeling a million per cent confident that they could be better than Oasis."

The band broke-up last summer after Liam's older brother Noel quit following a backstage fight before a concert in Paris, France, which saw them smash up each other's guitars.

However, Liam believes his guitarist sibling used the fight as an excuse to leave so he could work on his own solo project.

He explained in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Deejay: "To be quite honest, I think Noel wanted out.

"We had an argument - but we've had bigger ones, about more important people. Basically, I think he wanted out, wanted something different, but he hadn't got the b******s to tell the band or the fans."

Amelle Berrabah spent her time in a recovery centre jumping in cold lakes and cycling.

The 25-year-old singer - who was sent to an Austrian rehab centre last month after the pressure of the Sugababes recent line-up change took its toll - just needed a place to go to "make sense of the madness".

She said in an interview with Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Everything had just got too much for me to cope with in recent months. Part of the programme was centred around exercise and I was cycling around all the time. I cycled a lot, disappearing into the forest.

"I jumped in a freezing cold lake. They told me that it was really good for my skin so me and this other girl just threw ourselves in. You literally can't feel your legs and your hands because it is so cold. It was just a really refreshing time away."

In September, Keisha Buchanan - one the pop trio's founding members - was ousted from the girl group after months of feuds and was replaced by 21-year-old Jade Ewen.

Keisha, 25, recently said: "I've cried so many tears. I'm over the worst. I believe I am stronger for it all."

Mariah Carey request to have 20 white kittens at a Christmas lights switch-on has been blocked.

The diva reportedly wanted the young felines and 100 white doves to accompany her at the extravagant switch-on ceremony at Westfield shopping centre, in west London.

She also requested to be showered with butterfly-shaped confetti - her favourite insect - while standing on a pink podium and waving a magic wand.

The American singer will arrive in a Rolls-Royce car and be accompanied by 80 security guards as well as her 15-strong entourage.

But while most of her demands have been met, health and safety officials refused her request to have kittens and doves - because animals are not allowed inside the complex.

A source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "We did manage to source the doves that we were going to release into the sky, but the kittens proved terribly difficult.

"In the end, it was made clear that due to health and safety, there was no way we could have the animals at Westfield. Pets are not allowed in Westfield - that rule would apply for everyone.

"We have worked extremely hard to make sure that Mariah's event is fantastic. Even the model of car had to be changed six times to one that her people liked."

The 'Hero' singer, who is appearing on UK TV talent show 'The X Factor' this weekend, recently admitted she loves being a diva - but doesn't think she is demanding enough.

She said: "You know what? I guess I am a diva in many ways! When it comes to certain things, yes, I can be difficult and a little bit rigid about what I want.

"Am I demanding? I don't think I'm demanding enough."

Aerosmith have vowed to keep touring without Steven Tyler if he embarks on a solo career.

The group are currently experiencing "personal differences" following confusion about the singer's long-term commitment to the band, after he recently said he wanted to take a break, before insisting he hadn't left, despite statements made by his bandmates saying he has quit for good.

Drummer Joey Kramer has now spoken about their situation saying that although they support the 'Crazy' singer's plans, the rest of the band don't want to put their careers on hold to wait for him.

He said: "Steven wants to do what he wants to do. That's great. I support him. I will always love him. I have always supported him … but we want to play too. I can't sit around for two years and not play my drums - or not function as a band.

"Just like writers write and dancers dance, we're musicians. We make music. That's what we want to continue to do, so whatever we have to do to move forward in that direction, that's what will happen."

The musician already has a clear idea in his mind of the sort of person he would want to stand in for Steven.

He explained: "There's a difference between a singer and what I call a frontman or a performer.

"Luckily for us, Steven is both of those and probably the best out there. If he chooses to go pursue a solo career for a while, then it would have to be somebody that can in my opinion have to do both - that would have to be able to perform the songs as well as sing them."

Jarvis Cocker mistakes shopping lists for his song lyrics.

The former Pulp singer admits he is incredibly disorganised and often gets his musical ideas mixed up with his 'To Do' lists when looking back through his notes.

He explained: "I'm not very disciplined. The way I tend to do things is just wander around and I'll write things in notebooks, and then eventually, when I've got quite a big pile of notebooks, I'll look through them, and then sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised and think 'Yeah!' Then other times its like… because I use the same notebook for my To Do lists as well, so sometimes it gets mixed up, then you'll see 'six eggs, bacon, butter' and I'll think yes, that's good, and then you realise that was your shopping list."

The 'Babies' hitmaker also vowed not to perform his old group's hits in his solo performances because it would "spoil" the original versions.

He explained to Absolute Radio host Geoff Lloyd: "Pulp was a group and the way that Pulp sounded and the way that those songs came about was all to do with those five people who were in the group.

"You know, we'd all learned how to play together, not very well, but we kind of made it work, and I think it would only sound right if those people were together again, you know.

"If I played it with the band that I've got now, who are probably technically much better than some of the people in Pulp, but I just don't think that those songs would sound the same. So again, I don't want to kind of spoil them by doing kind of inferior versions of them."

Chipmunk says he's now back to good health.

The 18-year-old artist- real name Jahmaal Fyffe - cancelled all forthcoming appearances after posting a series of disturbing messages on his Twitter page hinting he wanted to commit suicide.

However, he made his first public performance at Rihanna's comeback show in London on Monday night, and at the after-party at nightspot Mahiki Chipmunk insisted he was feeling better after his break.

He said: "I'm on a trip back to normality. I'm in good health and it's all good. Things got a bit crazy and I needed to take a break to sort my head out but I feel better already."

Chipmunk had sparked huge concern for his welfare after posting messages on the social networking site which said "I Want to Die" and later he asked "is suicide easy?"

The star - who had a number one with 'Oopsy Daisy', was working up to 18 hours a day before he reached breaking point.

His record company previously said: "Chipmunk has been working incredibly hard on generating a successful music career which has taken its toll on such a young artist.

"Label and management have agreed to cancel all upcoming promotion and personal appearances to give him some much needed time off."

Rihanna wanted her new album to have a heavy metal influence.

The Barbados-born singer - who made a return to the UK this week to preview her uop LP 'Rated R' and it's dark new sound - wanted it to be even rockier but her record label had a "seizure".

The 21-year-old star approached guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, of US band Extreme, to play on the record but Rihanna's record label stopped the collaboration.

Nuno told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "I think the label had a seizure so they went down another route."

However, Rihanna was joined by Nuno on stage at her London show at the 02 Brixton Academy on Monday night and after the performance he was honoured to join her.

The 43-year-old rocker said: "I've been asked to play with pop artists in the past but turned them down because they didn't really get the vibe. But when I spoke to Rihanna she was totally into transforming herself into a heavy rock chick."

At her after-party at London nightspot Mahiki on Monday, Rihanna partied with boy band JLS, singer Mr Hudson and Chipmunk.

She said: "I love British guys, they are so sweet. And the ones here tonight are so talented."

The concert was Rihanna's first live show since she was assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown in February.

Katy Perry has promised her new songs will be more mature - because she now knows how to "handle" boys.

The 'I Kissed a Girl' singer - who is currently dating British comedian Russell Brand - insists her follow-up material to debut album 'One of the Boys' will be influenced by her romantic experiences.

She said: "My new songs are a little bit more mature. I know how to handle boys now.

"Actually, I don't even mess with boys anymore, I mess with men. It's different because on 'One of the Boys' I was, like, 17 to 23 and some of those songs, like half the record, I wrote when I was 19 - and that's such a different place than you are when you're 25."

The singer also revealed she has started "saving" details of her life, so her new songs will be more honest.

She added: "When I sit down to talk about things, sometimes I don't give as much detail as I used to but I think I am saving it for the songs - and the songs I'm just gushing.

"From the few songs that I've written so far, they are very honest, if not more honest than the last ones."

Florence Welch covered 'You've Got The Love' because it has given her "so many moments" in the past.

The Florence and the Machine singer introduced the dance classic to her live set over a year ago because she had so many good memories associated with the song in the past.

She said: "Last Bestival - not the Bestival just been, the one before that - we were playing in the dance tent and we were the last band on and it was going to be our last show of the festival season.

"I was just trying to think of a way to round it all off. I've had so many moments to that song, whether you were dancing in a kitchen, or dancing in a club. We played it and it was one of the most euphoric moments of my entire life."

The singer performed an intimate London concert last night and admitted she was delighted to return to performing in the UK.

Speaking ahead of the show at the city's 100 Club, she told XFM: "The last London show I played was probably Shepherd's Bush. We've been away touring America and France, so it's going to be nice to come back to the centre of London and do a really small show."

50 Cent thinks fans hate him singing.

The 'Candy Shop' hitmaker believes his least popular songs are ones where he uses melody and sings his vocals, and doesn't understand why other rappers win praise for doing the same.

He said: "What they would knock me for is if I sung on a record - 'Oh, 50 is singing on a record' - they get upset when I use the melody. I've been encouraged to use more melody because I'm an international touring artist and I'm watching the music break language barriers, and all they can follow is melody when you go out there at different points.

"So I brought it, I came back, and I did different things creatively and they kind of resent me for what they love Drake for. It's interesting."

The rapper insists people want to hear him make "aggressive" music and don't trust other artists to provide the same themes in their songs.

Speaking about new album 'Before I Self Destruct', he added to MTV: "The content is coming from situations I've experienced prior to when I created 'Get Rich or Die Tryin''. What I realised translated most through my material is the aggression, and the people miss it because the other artists don't come from the same type of background or lifestyle. They don't want that from those artists."

Robert Pattinson wants to be a dog.

'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' actor feels a "deep connection" with canines and if he was to swap from being a human, would want to become a domesticated four legged pet.

When asked what he would like to become, he said: "I think I'd be a dog. The lifestyle of a dog has always fascinated me: You sleep, sit around, get stroked, eat and get walked from time to time. That's great!

"There is a deep connection between me and dogs."

If he couldn't completely transform himself physically and had to settle with getting a different job, Robert, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the movie franchise, would like to be a music producer.

He said: "Being a music producer would be the perfect job for me. Or I would like to write.

John Lydon has promised Public Image Ltd will "definitely" record new material - if they have enough money.

The group's frontman - who recently admitted the reformed punk band's forthcoming tour was funded by his appearances in Country Life butter commercials - admitted heading back into the studio without record company backing would be difficult.

He said: "Yes, if I raise the money from this, I most definitely will record new PiL material. But what you've got to understand with is that every single time we recorded we only had one take, no money."

Recalling the differences between them and their chart rivals in 1978, the former Sex Pistols star said he always favoured a rushed approach to making music.

He added to BBC 6 Music: "The Jam would pull out of Goldhawk Road after recording in Townhouse Studios. They're writing their new hit wonderful album because they have lots of record company backing.

"We knew they'd left so we'd run in, quickly record it, and that's our album 'Metal Box' for you. That's basically the John Lydon approach to music - wham, bam, thank you ma'am."

Rihanna made her live return in London last night - her first full concert since she was assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in February.

The singer debuted tracks from her forthcoming album 'Rated R', including 'Wait Your Turn' and 'Hard', and was joined on stage by rapper Jay-Z for 'Run This Town' and 'Umbrella'.

The 45-minute show at the 02 Academy Brixton was attended by music industry guests and competition winners, but also broadcast live across the internet on the Nokia website.

A guest at the concert told BANG Showbiz: "She may have been away for nine months, but she has certainly not lost anything when it comes to her voice. She sounded incredible, hit every note and completely owned the stage.

"She also had two backing dancers dressed in hijabs. She pulled off some very sexy moves - she even grabbed a mannequin's crotch at one point!"

Dressed in a provocative leotard and sporting a shock of dyed blonde hair, Rihanna was backed by a live band, showcasing a new, more rock orientated sound for her new LP.

The 21-year-old pop star recently revealed she sought solace in the recording studio following the vicious assault by Chris - which left her battered and bruised and resulted in Chris being sentenced to six months of community service, 12 months of domestic violence counselling and five years probation.

She said: "When I was given time off in March it was a little crazy. Being at home was driving me mad.

"I couldn't go anywhere. It was, like, 'Look at the poor victim!' So I called my label and said, 'I'm ready.' "

Jay-Z wants to launch Cheryl Cole's pop career in America.

The hip-hop star - married to singer Beyonce Knowles - is in talks to work with the Girls Aloud beauty who last month launched her solo career.

Cheryl - whose debut album '3 Words' entered the UK album chart at number one - has told pals having Jay-Z as her new mentor is "beyond her wildest dreams".

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Cheryl is the biggest fan of Jay-Z and Beyonce. To hear the feeling is mutual has totally made her year.

The collaboration has arisen after Cheryl met Beyonce on last year's series of UK TV talent show 'The X Factor', on which Cheryl is a judge.

The 'Sweet dreams' singer teamed up with Cheryl's contestant Alexandra Burke for a show-stopping duet.

After the programme, the two pop stars hit it off as they hung out in the dressing rooms together.

But at the time, Cheryl was convinced she had acted like a crazed fan when she met her idol.

She said: "I turned into a fool when I saw Beyonce, I couldn't speak to her. I really embarrassed myself."

The Strokes' 'Is This It' has been named album of the decade.

The American rockers' 2001 debut LP topped a list compiled by British music magazine NME made up of votes from record producers, label bosses and musicians, including members of Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys who both rank highly.

Troubled rocker Pete Doherty saw three of his albums make the list, with his former band The Libertines coming in second place with their debut effort 'Up The Bracket'.

The group's second, and final, self-titled release was placed at number 24, while his other band Babyshambles saw their debut record 'Down In Albion' achieve 35th place.

NME Editor Krissi Murison said: "This is the definitive word on the greatest albums of the '00s - as voted for by everyone who helped make music brilliant this decade."

Veteran rockers Primal Scream came in third place with 'Xtrmntr', while Arctic Monkeys' debut album 'Whatever People Say I am, That's What I'm Not' was fourth and 'Fever To Tell' by US group Yeah Yeah Yeahs came fourth.

The 'Maps' hitmakers were one of six acts to have two LPs make the list, with 'Show Your Bones' placed at 32.

In addition to Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Libertines, Radiohead, The White Stripes, Arcade Fire and The Streets all saw two records make it into the top 50.

The best represented year of the decade was 2002, with a total of eight albums released in the year placed in the list.

Pet Shop Boys want to headline Glastonbury 2010.

The 'It's A Sin' duo - who previously performed at the legendary British music festival in 2000 - say they enjoyed the experience and would love to repeat it at next year's 40th anniversary event.

Singer Neil Tennant said: "We played the main stage at nine thirty on Saturday night, and it was an amazing experience as we wondered whether Glastonbury wanted to see the Pet Shop Boys - whether we were too dance or pop or something for them, but it really went down fantastically well."

The group - also comprising Chris Lowe - would also invite special guests to appear with them.

Neil added to BBC 6 Music: "A good song for us to do with people is 'What Have I Done to Deserve This' as sadly Dusty Springfield isn't around anymore. We've done it with Melissa Etheridge in America before, Lady Gaga at the Brits, Cerys Matthews from Catatonia when we did Glastonbury 2000... there's always a little vacancy there for someone."

U2 have been fined for breaching noise regulations.

The 'Sweetest Thing' rockers' tour promoters MCD have been told by Dublin City Council that they must pay £33,125 following complaints from local residents about excessive sound levels during their shows at the city's Croke park in July.

An investigation found the group played over the 75 decibel level set by the Environmental Protection Agency a total of 12 times during the three concerts.

However, some local residents have blasted the "paltry" fine.

Pat Gates, chairperson of the Croke Park Area Residents' Alliance said: "It is a paltry penalty, it really isn't a disincentive.

"They would write that off in terms of planning for such things. Any fines that do accrue to the city council should be invested back into the local community, as they were the ones that put up with it."

50 Cent and Dr. Dre are looking for new talent.

The 'Candy Shop' rapper insists his recent experiences with Game - which saw their friendship turn sour after they worked on the young MC's rapper 'The Documentary' - hasn't put him off working with his friend again to break another upcoming artist.

He said: "Dre and I were actually talking about a new artist, working together on a new project. I said, 'Just because we had a car accident, that doesn't mean we're not going to drive again - it just means we had an accident with that one.' He laughed at me.

"He said, 'All right. I'll give it a try,' because he was unsure about how I would feel about helping with another new artist. Obviously Dre can create the best possible production for the artist and groom him to the right space. But going to introduce him to the general public would be something you want 50 to go do."

50 has vowed never to work with Game again, and insists even his friendship with Dr. Dre wouldn't persuade him to change his mind.

Asking about the possibility of both artists working on a song for Dre, he told MTV News: "No, I wouldn't do it. I'd be on a record, on a song, but not on that record with Game. That's not making a song, that's making an event - things for people to talk about. ... So there's a verse there that you think would be great for both of us, I just say, 'Erase his verse and put something in better than that.' "

Rihanna sings about how she was assaulted by Chris Brown on her new album.

The Barbadian singer wrote 'Cold Case Love' about how she was attacked by then-boyfriend Chris Brown not long after the incident in February.

She said: "It was one of the first songs I did for the album and it is one of the most emotional."

Rihanna, 21, has also revealed she was desperate to get back into the recording studio after the assault, so she could concentrate on her career rather than what had happened to her.

The pop beauty explained: "When I was given time off in March it was a little crazy. Being at home was driving me mad.

"I couldn't go anywhere. It was, like, 'Look at the poor victim!' So I called my label and said, 'I'm ready.' "

The 'Russian Roulette' singer also recorded some of the LP, entitled 'Rated R', in London and admits she loves the UK capital.

Rihanna - who releases the album on November 26 - said: "We made a lot of the album in London. We took two big trips there and spent some time just figuring out the record.

"London is one of my favourite cities, it's where I get most of my creative energy."

Kings of Leon star Nathan Followill has married his long-term girlfriend.

The drummer and singer/songwriter Jessie Baylin tied the knot on Saturday at Wolf Den Farm in Tennessee in front of friends and family, including his bandmates and actress Scarlett Johansson.

The band's representative said: "The wedding was beautiful. It was a gorgeous, 70-degree day. It was a very love-affirming wedding with lots of warmth and happiness."

Guests enjoyed food catered for by local Nashville restaurant Miel, while the couple's first dance was to an instrumental Hawaiian lap steel guitar tune.

Following the wedding, Nathan spoke of his joy at tying the knot, writing on his Twitter page: "I woke up with a married woman in my bed this morning. Luckily, she was mine."

Amy Winehouse reportedly wants to fix her "witch-like" nose.

The 'Rehab' singer recently splashed out £35,000 to have her breasts boosted from a 32B to a 32D and is now planning more surgery to improve her appearance further, against the wishes of her loved ones.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Everyone tells her there's nothing wrong with her nose. But Amy does nothing by halves. Now she's beaten drugs, plastic surgery must not become her next obsession.

"Since changing her boobs Amy has been scrutinising her body."

It has also been revealed Amy, 26, wants a doll of her made so she can become the next Barbie.

The pop star has been busy sketching designs for the toy which she believes would be a hit with kids, just like the famous blonde doll.

A source said: "She loves all the compliments and wolf whistles she gets from her new figure. She's been sketching lots of drawings of herself and wants to bring out a doll for fans."

Amy's father Mitch recently claimed his daughter decided to have a boob job because she had "saggy" breasts.

The Northern Irish band - who are currently on an A-Z tour of British towns in support of their plan to release 26 singles in one year - parted ways with their major label two years ago and are now selling music through an internet subscription service.

Frontman Tim Wheeler admitted: "I miss the money safety blanket of being on a major label because there's always the thought in the back of your head that if this fails we're…"

Guitarist Mark Hamilton added: "F*****d.

The group - whose hits include 'Girl From Mars', 'Burn Baby Burn' and 'Oh Yeah' - decided to focus on singles rather than albums after seeing how the digital revolution had affected the way people listened to music, and the frontman said the onus is now on the band's "survival."

He said: "We've never thought about how to get out of this. We've always thought about how we can continue doing this. This is another thing for us to survive, the way the music industry's changed."

Rihanna's new album is inspired by The Prodigy.

The 'Umbrella' hitmaker is set to release her new LP, 'Rated R' later this month and says she drew ideas from a diverse range of artists, including the dance legends, when penning the tracks.

She said: "The new album is inspired by a lot of different songs like hip hop, there's a lot of bass and there's a lot of rock, I listen to a lot of Prodigy and Chase and Status, we actually worked with them on a lot of the production and they helped develop the new sound."

The album features a range of guest stars, and the singer particularly enjoyed working with former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash.

She added: "We have collaborations on there, people like Slash, who is the ultimate rock star."

Punk legend John Lydon says Public Image Limited's forthcoming tour has been funded entirely by Country Life butter.

The former Sex Pistols star has hit back at critics of his appearance in the TV adverts this year, saying the concerts wouldn't be going ahead without the lucrative pay cheque he received.

Speaking to the Camden New Journal newspaper, he said: "Why are they questioning me? What manual am I supposed to adopt? I'm promoting a British product which I'm very proud of. Anything I can do to help British industry is fine by me and in return you've got PiL.

"The money I got from that advert is the advance on the PiL tour. We live on a lucky end of a shoestring here until the first gig money comes in."

The flamboyant frontman promised fans an evening to remember at the concerts.

Nicole Scherzinger always thought she was ugly.

The 31-year-old Pussycat Doll - who is currently working alone after the group decided to take a temporary break in order to pursue solo projects - said she only started to feel attractive once she joined the group in 2003.

Keith Urban's "heart stretched" the day he became a father.

The country singer was astonished by how much his life changed when wife Nicole Kidman gave birth to their first child, daughter Sunday Rose, 17 months ago.

When asked how life changed when he became a father, he said: "I think, as Nicole has said, it's just the stretching of the heart. It is an indescribable feeling. It was much like the first time Sunday cried, when she came into the world. There are certain things in life you have to experience, otherwise, it's just a vague concept of what it would be like. It's had such a big impact on my life."

The 42-year-old singer has even altered his musical career so he can spend more time with his family.

He added: "I structured the tour so I would do three shows in a row, then take about three or four days off. Now we have Sunday, it is about enjoying the simple pleasures - just being able to say 'Goodnight' to my girls and not be on the phone doing it.

Peter Andre says talking about sex makes him "frustrated".

The 'Behind Closed Doors' singer - whose divorce from Katie Price was finalised last month - insists he is currently celibate but is too busy to even think about sleeping with anyone new.

Sugababes used body doubles in a music video when their feuding was at its worst.

The British girlband - who had a line-up change recently after months of rowing and strained relations - were forced to hire lookalikes to portray them in the video for single 'About a Girl' because they didn't know if the band had any future.

Singer Heidi Range explained: "The video was shot anyway, only using body doubles. They thought, there's no band but we still need a video to put out with this song, so the girls who were our stunt doubles became the stars."

In September, original band member Keisha Buchanan was ousted from the girl group after months of feuds and tension with Heidi and Amelle Berrabah and was replaced by 21-year-old Jade Ewen.

Jade admits even she only found out she would be joining the group and appearing in a video with them at the last minute after she was approached by Sarah Wall, from Crown Music Management.

She explained to Britain's The Times newspaper: "I came down to her house, and she was asking me all these weird questions like, 'How bad do you want this?' and 'What lengths are you prepared to go to achieve your dream?' I remember saying, 'I'll do whatever it takes.' So she said there might be the opportunity to join Sugababes, but it could mean I'd have to get on a plane to Los Angeles tomorrow to shoot a video."

The trio have been forced to put back the release of their new album, 'Sweet 7', to February next year.

The record was originally due to be released on November 23 with Jay-Z's Roc Nation and Island Records.

They now need time to practice the new songs as a group and record girl Jade's voice on the album

Liam Gallagher has vowed to be back on stage within two months.

The Oasis singer saw the group plunge into turmoil in August when his brother, guitarist Noel Gallagher, quit the band due to unbearable tensions with the singer but has promised fans he is already planning his next musical move.

He said: "I'll be back doing that, playing live, within a couple of months. I've just done a tour, I always miss singing songs. I miss the people."

Liam, 37, also confirmed he is currently working on new material with Oasis bandmates Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock.

He said: "We're sort of doing things at the moment. Not Oasis, Oasis is done. But with everyone except for Noel."

Liam also claimed he doesn't believe his fight with Noel - which allegedly saw them damage each other's guitars backstage before a planned performance in Paris, France - was the reason for the guitarist's departure, insisting the musician had it planned.

He explained to Italy's Radio Deejay: "To be quite honest, I think Noel wanted out. But you'll have to ask him when he comes in and does his little solo thing. We had an argument - but we've had bigger ones, about more important people. Basically, I think he wanted out, wanted something different, but he hadn't got the b******s to tell the band or the fans."

Despite admitting to the row, Liam - who is married to former All Saints singer Nicole Appleton - insists he never hurt Noel during their altercation.

He added: "I didn't smash the guitar on him, I wish I had, man. He treated my guitar poorly, which was a present off my wife. So I thought it was only fair to pay the compliment back. So I smashed one of his. It sounds ridiculous, like a pair of old women."

Sarah Harding isn't sure Girls Aloud will stay together.

The singer - who is currently pursuing an acting career while the girl group are on hiatus - is surprised the group, who have scored four number one single in the UK, have managed to remain popular since they were formed on a reality TV programme in 2002.

She said: "We've grown up in the spotlight, we never thought we'd stick around.

"We're simply taking a break now, we all felt it was time... We said about a year - but we're going to see what happens."

The 'Love Machine' singer added that she now has her sights firmly set on acting, as it provides a fresh challenge for her.

She told British TV talk show host Jonathan Ross: "I'm not saying I don't want to sing any more but everyone knows I'm a bit of a drama queen, I really enjoy a new challenge. This is what I want to do."

The 27-year-old star also insisted her 'party girl' reputation is undeserved as she is much calmer now.

Robbie Williams is recording a new album with Take That.

The 'Bodies' singer cried as he was reunited with his former bandmates - Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen - onstage last night for the first time in 15 years and revealed plans are in place for them to enter the studio together.

He said to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "The ball is rolling for a Take That album with me. I was tearing up when I was onstage with the lads."

Robbie joined the group and a host of other stars including Lily Allen to sing Beatles classic 'Hey Jude' - led by the song's original singer, Sir Paul McCartney at London's Royal Albert hall for the charity concert.

Gary - who organised the concert in aid of Children In Need - performed arm-in-arm with Robbie, and said he felt like the old line-up was back together again.

Speaking afterwards, he said: "He was the last one I was hoping to get here. He was the icing on the cake of the whole thing for me.

"When we were all stood in a line we didn't want to leave ... it felt great having him back. It feels like he's back, it does."

Robbie also admitted he wished they could have stayed onstage for longer and sung one of Take That's old hits.

He said: "We should have milked it for a lot longer. I was trying to call them back and do a bow. It's the first time in 15 years we were together, we should have at least stayed for 15 minutes.

"While they were singing I wanted to grab a mic and start singing too. It would have to have been 'Back For Good'."

Take That opened the show before opening the stage up for their former bandmate.

After performing their hit 'Greatest Day', Gary then said: "What a perfect night for us to introduce an old friend."

However, fans hoping for a full reunion were left disappointed when the group departed the stage, leaving Robbie alone to sing two tracks from his new album 'Reality Killed The Video Star'.

Other performers at the event included Snow Patrol and Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis, Annie Lennox and Dizzee Rascal.

Janet Jackson is to open the American Music Awards.

The 'All For You' hitmaker will sing a medley to start the 2009 ceremony on November 22, which sees her late brother Michael Jackson - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June - nominated in five categories.

American Music Awards producer Larry Klein said: "We're thrilled about having Janet Jackson open this year's show.

"She is an incredibly dynamic performer and I think the audience will be excited to see what she has in store."

This will be the fourth AMAs performance for the star, who has won nine of the awards in previous years, and follows her moving tribute to her brother at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards in September.

It was announced earlier this week Whitney Houston - who has won a huge 21 AMAs from 37 nominations - will be honoured with the International Artist Award and perform her new single 'I Didn't Know My Own Strength' at the star-studded ceremony.

Other stars to perform at this year's AMAs at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre include Lady Gaga, Eminem, Jay-Z, Shakira, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Green Day, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.
